Dear Friends:

Welcome to my website! I hope you will find it a blessing as you read my story and how God continues to give me exciting ministry opportunities. I never would have dreamed all of these things could happen!

In her article, Alicia Steinhaus poignantly describes Sunday, August 3, 2003 — "It was definitely more than an 'E' ticket ride at Disneyland!!" Yet the ride since then, with God as the driver and me in the passenger seat, has been quite the adventure!

Within a week of my vehicle accident a site was set up on CaringBridge.org allowing everyone from all over the world to keep up with my progress. On August 3, 2004, a year after my accident, that site was removed. There were nearly 50,000 hits on CaringBridge. What a meaningful and important ministry that was to me.

My current website contains the history of the old CaringBridge site. You may read the daily entries to the journal and all the inspirational writings of my dear friend, the Rev. Gary DeVaul. Some pictures from the beginning of this new chapter in my life are posted. You may also keep up with my schedule by checking the calendar.

As for me personally, it continues to be challenging to adjust to a totally different way of accomplishing the seemingly simplest of tasks. I keep learning to be extremely patient — giving myself the extra time and energy it takes. Those who know me well know I hate to miss a beat, so I do very well at keeping up with that busy one-armed paper hanger!

There have been many wonderful events! The first was a grand and glorious gala benefit occasion with a choir of over 800 voices on Sunday evening, March 21, 2004 at Lake Avenue Church, Pasadena, California. There was a keyboard celebration at The Crystal Cathedral, Garden Grove, California on Friday, September 10, 2004 that was truly spectacular! You may view pictures of these concerts on this website. God has truly blessed me!

The Mark Thallander Foundation website (www.MarkThallanderFoundation.org) contains information about the Foundation and our current activities! Almost a decade has passed since the accident, and in that time we have presented 25 Festivals in California, Hawaii, Missouri, Maine, Massachusetts and Canada!
